When to visit Melbourne?

The best time to visit Melbourne is between November and March. January and February are with up to 26 °C the warmest months of the year and promise a very pleasant travel time. In some cases, hot winds blow from the Australian interior to Melbourne, which can result in significantly higher temperatures in summer.

There are only a few rainy days during this travel season and the high number of sunshine hours provide perfect conditions for exploring the surrounding area of Melbourne in Victoria. Swimming is generally possible on one of the city’s beaches or in St. Kilda, but at water temperatures of a maximum of 19 °C, the famous “jump into the cold water” usually remains.
